St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities and the East End Healthy Children's Collaborative (EEHCC) hosted a 100th birthday celebration in the East End on February 23. The Houston Area Rotary Clubs have played an important role in helping the EEHCC achieve its goals, along with the financial support of Bank of America. Together with St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities, the Rotary Clubs sponsor Espiritu de Salud Mobile Unit, a mobile medical clinic from Christ Church Cathedral that serves children at four schools and a service center in Houston's East End.

Featured at the event was David Fine, SLEHS president and CEO and Rob Mosbacher, the chair of the recently formed Health Council of Harris County and the City of Houston. To launch their next centennial, Houston Area Rotary Clubs have adopted the East End as a signature project, for which we are all delighted!
